How an Unturned Server Is Configured

Unturned keeps its server settings in a handful of plain-text files, all editable from the panel’s File Manager:
  • Commands.dat — startup commands: server name, map, port, password, max players, difficulty, and game mode
  • Config.json — detailed gameplay tuning: zombie and item limits, decay, anti-cheat thresholds, and more
  • WorkshopDownloadConfig.json — the list of Steam Workshop items the server downloads on boot
  • Admins.dat / Mods.dat — administrator and moderator Steam64 IDs
