Counter-Strike 1.6 servers run on HLDS (Half-Life Dedicated Server), Valve’s GoldSrc-engine server software. It’s extremely light on resources, which means rock-solid tick stability and instant round starts even on busy servers. Your server listens on UDP port 27015 by default, and everything — configs, maps, mods — lives in the cstrike/ folder that you can edit freely through the Game Panel’s File Manager or SFTP.
