There are two reliable ways to join an Enshrouded dedicated server: searching for it in the in-game server browser, or adding it to your Steam server favorites by IP. This guide covers both, plus where to find your server address and how to fix the most common connection problems.

Game Port vs. Query Port

Enshrouded uses two UDP ports, and knowing which is which matters when you join by IP:
PortDefaultUsed for
Game port15636/udpThe actual game connection
Query port15637/udpServer browser listings and Steam favorites
On shared hosting your server may be assigned different ports than the defaults. Always check the actual IP:port on your server’s dashboard in the Game Panel — the query port is typically the game port plus one.

Finding Your Server Address

1

Log in to the Game Panel

Go to the Wasabi Hosting Game Panel and sign in.
2

Open your server

Select your Enshrouded server from the list to open its dashboard.
3

Copy the address

The dashboard shows your address as IP:port (for example 203.0.113.10:15636). This is the game port — add 1 for the query port when adding Steam favorites.

Method 1: In-Game Server Browser

1

Open the join menu

Launch Enshrouded and select Play, then Join.
2

Search for your server

Type your server’s name (the name value from your server configuration) into the search field. Give the list a moment — the browser can take a little while to populate.
3

Connect

Select your server and click Join. If the server is password-protected, enter the password when prompted.
Use a distinctive server name. Searching for “Enshrouded Server” returns hundreds of results; searching for “Wasabi Wanderers PvE” finds yours instantly.

Method 2: Steam Favorites (Join by IP)

This method is more reliable than searching, especially right after the server starts.
1

Open the Steam server browser

In Steam, open View → Game Servers from the top menu bar.
2

Add your server as a favorite

Switch to the Favorites tab, click the + (add server) button, and enter your server’s IP with the query port — for example 203.0.113.10:15637. Confirm to add it.
3

Join from inside Enshrouded

Launch Enshrouded, go to Play → Join, and your favorited server appears in the list, ready to join.
Steam favorites must use the query port (default 15637), not the game port. Adding IP:15636 is the single most common reason a server never shows up in the favorites list.

Password Entry and User Groups

If your server uses userGroups with passwords, the password each player enters when joining decides which group they land in — for example, the Admin password grants kick/ban rights while the Guest password may be view-and-play only. Hand out the right password to the right people. See Server Configuration for how to set the groups up.

Troubleshooting

The server may still be starting. Open the Console in the Game Panel and wait until the log shows the world has finished loading — Enshrouded can take a couple of minutes on first boot while it generates the save. Also verify you added the favorite with the query port, not the game port.
Double-check the entry in View → Game Servers → Favorites. It must be IP:queryPort (game port + 1 by default, e.g. :15637). Remove the old entry and re-add it with the correct port.
When Enshrouded updates on Steam, your client and server must both be on the new version before you can connect. Restart your server from the Game Panel so it installs the update, and let Steam update your client. Take a backup before major patches, just in case.
If you use the Firewall Manager, make sure no rule is blocking your own IP or the server’s UDP ports.
